The backbone of the Fire Department is its dedicated and diverse membership.  The Fire Department is staffed by a full-time Fire Chief, Fire Safety Inspector, Fire Safety Training Officer and 36 part-time paid on call (POC) firefighters.   The POC firefighters all work regular employment elsewhere and, when an incident occurs, they are alerted through pagers.   All members are subject to call-ins all hours of the day and are required to train several times each month and participate in numerous community safety events each year.
