The City of Fergus Falls has been made aware of fraudulent emails targeting individuals involved with Planning Commission cases. These emails falsely claim to be from the City or the Planning Commission and request payment for fees related to Planning Commission activity. Please note:
- The City does NOT request payment for fees via wire transfer
- The Planning Commission does NOT issue invoices
- There are no surprise fees after a case is heard
If you receive a message from the City or Planning Commission that you were not expecting, please call the city directly to verify the veracity of an email. Do not respond or send payment.
If you've already sent money or shared information in response to an unexpected email, please contact your local police department.

Planning Commission Meetings
The Planning Commission meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 5:15 PM in the City Council Chambers. Meetings are streamed live on Youtube.

The Fergus Falls Planning Commission will hold public hearings on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 5:15 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 112 W. Washington Ave., Fergus Falls, to consider the following:
1. Z-2026-2: Request to rezone 1420 West Alcott Avenue from R-A to R-4 (Parcel IDs: 71004500022005 & 71004500022007).
2. C-2026-2: Conditional Use Permit to create a PUD at 1420 West Alcott Avenue in a R-4 District (Parcel IDs: 71004500022005 & 71004500022007).
3. P-2026-1 & F-2026-1: Combined Preliminary and Final Plats of River Oaks Meadow at 1420 West Alcott Avenue (Parcel IDs: 71004500022005 & 71004500022007).
4. IUP-2026-1: 40 KW ground mount solar array at 500 West Fir Avenue in a R-A District (Parcel ID: 71003500007901).
5. V-2026-1: Request for variance to place detached garage in the front yard at 616 East Adolphus Avenue (Parcel ID: 71001990547001).
6. Z-2026-3: Rezone portions of parcels 71003992032000 (1701 LINCOLN AVE W) & 71003992033000 from R-4 to B-2.
Project materials and additional details are available for public review at least one week before the hearing at City Hall during regular business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or online.
Public comments may be shared in person at the hearing or submitted in writing to commdev@fergusfallsmn.gov by noon on May 26, 2026.
